Welcome
My name is Heather Hans, and I’m an instructional designer at Duke University. I’ve worked in higher education for the past 7 years in roles centering around instructional design, instructional technology, user experience, and teaching and training. I received a BA from Wake Forest University in fine art and art history, and I specialized in painting, sculpture, and American Art.
After college, I worked in journalism for five years as an editor and writer, and then I went back to school at UNC-Greensboro to get my Masters in Library and Information Studies, through which I learned a wide range of skills from media and web design to academic research, instructional design, and instructional technology. In my spare time, I love to write and paint, and I’m a member artists of a local art guild. I also like yoga, gardening, cooking, and kickboxing!
